Mid-Grade Brake Pads

When it comes to brake friction, each respective type of brake pad, like Ceramic and Semi-Metallic, have their own basic components, and every manufacturer has their own proprietary blends and formulations of those components.

Ceramic pads, which have enjoyed a considerable gain in popularity over the last dozen years, are made of stacked glass ceramic fibers, filler material, bonding agents, and small amounts of various metals.

Semi-Metallic Brake Pads are actually a hybrid mix of both Organic pads and Metallic pads. Semi-Metallic pads, which remain a rather popular choice, are typically made from a mixture of iron, copper, steel, and graphite that are all bonded together.
